MANGO PICKLE

 MANGO PICKLE 

Mango pickle is an authentic food eaten with chapathi or rice . Its is made only once in an year at the time of summer season . Its is mixture of raw mangoes and spices preserved in oil along with salt which makes the pickle to have a long shelf life.

It is served best with dal and rice. 

HERE IS THE PROCEES TO MAKE YOUR OWN MANGO PICKLE

INGREDIENTS-(SMALL QUANTITY)

  • Raw Mangoes -3
  • Ginger garlic paste -125gm
  • Fenugreek powder - 1 tbsp
  • Jerra powder - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 65gm
  • Salt - 6-7 tbsp
  • Rai powder - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic - 12pieces
  • Turmeric powder - 1tbsp
INGREDIENTS-( FOR TADKA)

  • Till oil -200gms 
  • Jeera -1 tbsp
  • Rai - 1tbsp
  • Dry red chillies - 6
METHOD :-
  1. wash the raw mangoes and clean it with a dry cloth. 
  2. now cut the mangoes it your required size .
  3. take a bowl keep it on the stove  add till oil  heat it and add rai , jeera ,dry red chillies , and keep it a side to get cooled ( tadka) .
  4. take the dry raw mangoes into a bowl and add ginger garlic paste , fenugreek powder , jerras powder , chilli powder , turmeric powder , salt , rai powder , garlic pieces into the bowl and mix the whole thing with a spatchula or hand .
  5. now add the tadka into the bowl  mix it well .
  6. now take a ceramic jar or glass jar .
  7. NOTE- make sure the jar does not contain any moisture .
  8. put the mixtuure into the jar and close it tightly .
  9. leave the jar for bout 2days 
MANGO PICKLE IS READY  .
Serve it with hot rice along with ghee and dal.
