INDIAN DONUT (VADA) WITH TOMATO AND COCONUT CHUTNEY




INGREDIENTS :

Urad  dal 2cups

Jeera 1tsbs

Ginger Garlic paste 1tsbs

Green chilli  4

( add onions as you like ) 

Salt 

Oil deep fry

Bombay rava 

METHOD :

Soak Urad dal 2 cups with water for two hours 

Grind urad dal with jeera , salt , ginger garlic paste and green chilies . Make fine paste . And make sure it should be fluffy. 

Add batter to blow and add Bombay rava . 

Mix it well . 

Take a kadai and add oil heat it up ( make sure that kadai should be on medium flame ) .

Wet your palm and take lemon size batter . Make round shape and make a hole in centre by the help of thumb. Now add this to oil . 

Flip accordingly and heat it up . And add more vada’s to kadai . And fry it on a medium flame . When it turns golden brown drain oil and remove it from kadai and  Shift vada’s on kitchen paper . 

And now make rest else vadas like this . 

Serve hot and crispy vada’s  with sambar and chutney’s .

TOMATO CHUTNEY : 

Ingredients : 

Tomatoes  1 cup chopped 

Onion 1 

Green chilli’s 8  

Jeera 1/2 tbsp 

Curry , mint and coriander leafs 1/2 cup 

Salt 1/2 tbsp 

Ginger garlic 1 tbsp 

Tamarind coin size 

Turmeric 1/2 tsp 

Oil 2 tbsp 

METHOD : 

Take a pan keep it on a medium flame . Add oil , green chilli’s , onions , tomatoes , and curry leafs , mint leafs , coriander leafs , jeera , ginger garlic paste  , turmeric and tamarind. 

Cook it on a medium flame . Cover it with a lid . Cook it for 2 mins  , put of the flame and saute and cover it with lid , keep it aside for 10 mins . Then add to the blender and blend it completely . 

And serve with hot vada . 

COCONUT CHUTNEY: 

Coconut  1/2 cup 

Peanuts 2 tbsp 

Bengal gram 2 tbsp 

Green chilli’s  4 

Salt 

Oil 1 tbsp 

Jeera  , mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp 

Curry leaves 1 sprig 

Red chillies 2 

Urad dal and chana dal 1 tbsp 

METHOD : 

Take mixer jar add coconut , fried peanut , Bengal gram , green chilli and salt .

Blend it to fine paste .  

 For tadka take pan add oil and heat it up , now add jeera and mustard seeds , red chillies , curry leaves and urad dal and chana dal . Fry it and add it to chutney . 

Now chutney is ready .

Serve it with hot vada .
