how to make laddu.
Laddu:
Laddu is famous sweet from india. it offten made with besan and lots of nuts , sugar and ghee/oil . laddu is not just a sweet its an emotion.family functions ,occations ,festivals (or) celebrations first thing that come in mind is sweet and laddu is the one . simple and one of the easy recipe to make and store enjoy the flavors. so lets learn and make laddu and enjoy it .
Laddu Recipe:
Ingredients:
1. Besan : 500g
2. Sugar :400g
3. Cardamom : 2n
4. Pachcha karpuram( edible camphor) : 1/2 pinch
5. Soda : 1 pinch
6. Oil for deep fry
7. Kaju : 25g
8. Melon seeds : 10g
9. Raisins : 25g
Method :
1. Disslove sugar and water(100ml) in a pan and keep it on the stove to prepare the sugar syrup .(keep flame on medium )
2. When sugar solution strat dissloving check the consistency of the syrup by taking a few drops of the syrup with the help of your thumb and fore finger , if it sticks to your fingers than its correct consistency .
3. Make a smooth flowing batter of the besan with water . the batter should neither be thick nor be thin it should be flowing batter .
4. Keep the kadai on the stove and add oil in the kadai to deep fry the boondi
(add drop of water in kadai to check the oil temperature)
5. Take a large spoon of the besan batter and pour it on perforated , press with the other spoon so that the batter falls down from the perforation into the hot oil.
6. Fry the boondi at medium flame , when boondi starts turning gloden colour take bonndi from the oil ( don't over fry the boondi) . keep the fried boondi on tissue paper , repeat the same process until the batter complets.
7. Check the texture of boondi and add it to the sugar syrup . add cardamom , pachcha karpuram ( edible camphor) and kaju , melon seeds and raisins .
( You may either use 7 step or 8 step )
8. When boondi is ready add hot sugar syrup to boondi and cover it up with the help of lip for 5 mins .
9. Apply some oil (or) ghee on your hands and make laddu . the mixture should not be hot . when you make laddu it should be little warm .
Serve it in a blow . and laddu's are ready now . enjoy the soft and smooth laddu .
